We use Morello Cherries to make this intensely fruity & tart cherry preserve, absolutely jam packed with cherry pieces.
The Morello cherry is sour and bitter: not great for eating but fantastic for jamming!
We cook them in small batches for the shortest time possible to preserve their fresh fruity flavour. Then we add sugar to balance the tartness, and fresh lemon juice for the right level of acidity.
We hand fill these jars to ensure every jar is packed full of cherry pieces. Morello cherries are extremely low in pectin, so this is a looser set preserve, ideal for spooning and great with yoghurt or porridge.
Each jar contains 1.13kg, that's over 5 x regular jars. Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Giant Morello Cherry Preserve
