Our Ruby Grapefruit Marmalade was awarded Gold in the Taste of the West Awards this year. Very exciting!
The Taste of the West Awards champion food & drink produced in the South West. This year we sent both our Seville Orange Marmalade and Ruby Grapefruit Marmalade for their expert judging in the Sweet Preserves category. The awards given range from nothing, through to Bronze, Silver and Gold. We were overjoyed that both our marmalades were awarded a Gold Award, showing them to be of the very highest quality. The very best products within the category are then taken through to the finals, and our Ruby Grapefruit Marmalade was one of them.
Last night Ross and I attended the awards ceremony at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter, where we mingled with over 500 food business owners ranging from producers, shop owners and restaurant owners. Unfortunately we didn't quite take the top prize, but we were so happy to be in the finals for the third year running. Maybe next year will be our year?
To celebrate our achievement we've used our Ruby Grapefruit Marmalade in a cocktail for you to enjoy. Perfect for the festive season too!
