A GIANT Jar of our popular Harbinger Rhubarb Preserve- over 1kg in weight!
Our Harbinger Rhubarb Preserve is made with fresh Yorkshire Rhubarb. One of our favourite preserves, we source all our rhubarb from the Tomlinson Family, who have been growing forced rhubarb continuously for four generations in Pudsey, West Yorkshire.
Harvested in the dark and by candlelight according to age-long tradition, their rhubarb has tender, almost fibre-less stalks that are bright pink in colour and have the most delicate flavour. We choose to use the Harbinger variety because it is super pink!
We chop it, then cook it with a little bit of sugar for as short a time as possible, creating the most delicately delicious rhubarb preserve.
Because we use less sugar it has a lovely dropping consistency. It's seriously spoonably scrumptious, perfect for over yoghurt & granola, or on ice cream!
1.13kg. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
This product has a best before date from production of 6 months as the colour fades quickly. It will still taste delicious but won't be as pink!
Harbinger Rhubarb, sugar, lemon juice, natural pectin. Prepared with 68g fruit per 100g, total sugars 48g per 100g.
Our jams are made with a two year shelf life*. Once opened keep refrigerated and enjoy within 4 weeks.

Giant Harbinger Rhubarb Preserve
Apart from the usual on toast I have it on fat free Greek yoghurt and that tastes amazing and I made my grandson strawberry and rhubarb goats yogurt ice cream ( he has a dairy allergy) , the rhubarb just works so well with it especially as it’s the dominant flavour, he loved it and his nearly 1 so already has good taste.

Even though we are a family of rhubarb lovers i'd been dithering over buying the large jar of rhubarb preserve thinking we might not eat such a large amount.well,how wrong could i be!it's just over a week since i received my order and more than half the jar has gone already!it's so delicious,not too sweet,just the right amount of tartness,just lovely.
I love all things rhubarb. This is probably the best preserve I have ever tasted. The rhubarb is grown just a few miles from me. All good things come from Yorkshire

I’m just about to place another order for the 6 jars of this delightful Rhubarb Preserve. It’s a perfect blend and the flavour just bursts through without it being too sweet. Such a pity this isn’t an all year round flavour xXx
I'm so glad a larger version of this rhubarb preserve was released. I always have some on toast or yoghurt at the end of the week and I find myself always looking forward to it. Lovely flavour and I have yet to find something better.

Nicola founded Single Variety Co from her kitchen table with the aim of creating a range of seriously delicious fruit preserves and chilli jams. She carefully selected the finest ingredients, British where possible, and packed each jar full of as much fruit as possible with much less sugar than traditional jams. These aims remain the same today in our little jam factory in Bristol - as if Nicola had made them from home!
